Personal

The Personal plan is $15/user per month, and is designed for small projects that are usually handled by small teams of up to 5 users. The features include task and calendar management, as well as comprising to-do lists.

Team

The Team package is $20/user per month and gives users access to Gantt charts, collaboration, reporting tools and dashboards to keep everything under control. The plan is designed for 10 users.

Business

Designed for teams of up to 15 people, the Business plan is $25/user per month and enables access to advanced reporting and collaboration features, apps, plugins, time sheets and email alerts, while also provides you with a dedicated account manager.

Enterprise

The details of the Enterprise plan are flexible and should be discussed with the vendor.

Overall, the pricing is reasonable if you compare it with the competition, however, the value you’re getting for the price doesn’t seem to be worth it, unless you’re going after the Business package. This aspect makes the tool a better fit for medium and large businesses.

Features and Functionality

The tool does a great job at delivering all the solutions you’d typically expect from a software in this category including task, to-do list and workload management, planning tools, tracking progress, task dependencies, reporting, importing and exporting data, etc. All of these aspects are really easy to understand and take full advantage of right from the first seconds of using the tool. There are also a few unique features that are worth mentioning:

Interactive dashboards

While you will need to be a Team plan user to access various dashboards, it is well worth it. The fully customizable, real-time dashboards are constructed in a way to help instantly find all the important information with a glance. An unusual, yet incredibly useful section of the dashboard allows you to monitor the workload of your team members on an individual level in regards to completed, remaining and overdue tasks. This can help you manage the workload correctly by distributing and re-assigning tasks according to the productivity of each team member while also helping those who struggle. As we all know, team members are often reluctant, or scared, to share their worries with their managers.

Advanced Gantt charts

The interactive planning feature allows creating Gantt charts in seconds. Once the chart is created, all you have to do is simply add tasks, due dates and assign team members. You can also link various tasks thanks to the built-in interdependency aspect, which automatically updates all other task deadlines once a dependency is completed or altered. The drag and drop feature of task creation allows adjusting deadlines simply by moving them around with your mouse. Also, the tasks can be customized with color-coding for easier filtering of the workload. Finally, all team members can attach comments and notes to tasks in the Gantt chart enabling seamless collaboration and also export the Gantt chart to PDF or Excel doc.

In-depth reporting

One of the big advantages of ProjectManager.com is the in-depth reporting features. Not only they are very easy to create – it literally takes two clicks to produce one – but they also reflect all the essential details in a very neatly formatted style, which can easily be exported to PDF or Excel, in case you need to share it with high-level executives.

Project templates

Premade project templates allow anyone to quickly draft a project plan based on a set of given criteria or simply create a custom template that can be used over and over, an unlimited amount of times. This feature will not only help you save time and effort when dealing with a large number of projects simultaneously but also allow you to create a mechanism that will adapt to your working style precisely, increasing productivity and efficiency in the process.

Ease of Use

Overall, the tool is easy to use, understand, and pilot. The UI seems very logical and straightforward. Whenever you see a feature, you can instantly tell what action it is supposed to complete. However, your team will need some time to get used to the software.

Applications and Integrations

ProjectManager.com is cloud-based, meaning that it can be accessed anytime, anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. The tool works great on all browsers and supports all operating systems. The mobile app is very responsive and is available for both Android and iOS. While it doesn’t come with the full functionality of the desktop app, it is still very handy to quickly check the status of a milestone, update a task with new data, share critical information outside of working hours, and seamlessly collaborate via video calls, if needed.

As for the integrations, the software offers MS Project integrations to quickly access Microsoft Project and Excel plans, Gmail, Google Docs and Calendar integrations, Zapier and a robust API, which can be used by tech-savvy teams to create their own, custom integrations with any application.

Customer support

Customer support is on a really high level. Not only does the company offer free webinars, training videos, live demos, guides and books on various topics for both the project manager and the team, but they also hold one-on-one sessions if you have any questions regarding the tool. Finally, the level and quality of support aren’t dependent on your pricing plan.

Final Word

Overall, ProjectManager.com is a solid choice if you’re managing multiple projects and need to save time on routine activities and handle the workload of your team correctly. While the tool can be used by a team of any size, the most value for the price comes with the Business package, which is meant for large teams of 15 people, or above.

The interactive dashboards, Gantt charts and project templates are designed to streamline your work processes and will definitely help increase the productivity of your team, once everyone gets used to it.
