monday.com is a project management company founded in 2012. Since its inception, it has become one of the most popular tools in the industry. Their product is a project and team management tool that allows teams to manage and monitor tasks and projects, and communicate with each other in context. It is suitable for companies that have 2 or more people working on projects together. Package prices vary to accommodate small businesses as well as enterprises, depending on the features needed and the number of users involved.
Plans & Pricing
There are 4 main packages with varying prices depending on how many users are involved, and all are billed either monthly, annually, or every 2 years. The packages differ in features.

These are all prices for up to 5 users and priced annually saving you 18%. The price changes for monthly and if you purchase a bi-yearly you will save 32%.
If you need more than 200 users, you’ll need to contact monday.com for a customized price quote. These prices are considered a bit high in the “project management” arena, however, the features and design are considered by many as worth the investment, which is why monday.com is still a popular choice. The 14-day free trial is available to allow you to see for yourself if it’s the right choice for your business, and the webinars in the support section of the site can show you what it looks like before you even sign up.
Features and Functionality
When you start your new monday.com account, you’ll be able to create boards, where you track your tasks and everything your team is working on.
There are already a number of existing board templates you can use to quickly create a board for sales, marketing, HR, development, administration, and more. There are many different templates and categories available. While you can start from scratch, templates allow you to create boards faster and more efficiently around a specific category of projects.
Communication in context
Comments can be added to boards and tasks, and you can tag team members to communicate with them in the context of a specific task or project. Team members get notified in real time via desktop or mobile notifications, and they can quickly response or just “thumbs-up” to indicate that they’ve seen it.
Time management and planning
The timeline and time management feature is very useful when managing many projects over long periods of time. It is a visual timeline of your projects, and you can easily define the duration of each one in a drag-and-drop interface. This is a great way of seeing where you stand in terms of deadlines, while also tracking your team’s bandwidth and availability.
Ease of Use
The interface is designed to be as easy to understand as possible, but there are many features and there is a learning curve involved. The company knows this, and offers walkthroughs, tutorials, webinars, and more in order to ensure users have the help they need when they first start. It can take time to learn how to use all of the features available to you. The more advanced the package, the more features are available, some of which may require technical assistance, such as the API. That being said, once you get the hang of it, it’s very easy to use and manage.
Applications and Integrations
monday.com can be accessed from any browser, iOS, and Android device. Email integration is available, which allows you to create updates from your email. You can also connect monday.com with other services like Dropbox and Google Drive. According to the company, they are in the process of adding additional integration features to include more advanced calendar integration and Slack integration.

Overall, monday.com is a great project and team management tool. While the prices can be suitable for all business sizes, it may be a bit intense for smaller businesses in terms of the number of features available and the time it can take to learn how to use it all. Larger companies with multiple projects can take the time to learn the platform and benefit from everything it offers in the long run, especially with additional features still being developed and added. It’s a great “all-in-one” product, and is highly recommended for anyone managing multiple projects with many tasks and team members.
